The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it is alarmed with regards to the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is read more to reach-out to your superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area every day. The provider issue made for intervention experiences a substantial influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to empower the servicing of all buyers and boost use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
